Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Samjhao Buddy website, parent console and app (together, the "Service"), operated by Samjhao Buddy by Kiara Astro ABC Private Limited ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Samjhao Buddy is an AI learning companion for young children. Parents upload their child's school material, and the Service prepares lessons, answers the child's questions by text and voice, and offers short quizzes.
2. Who may use it
- Accounts may be created only by parents or legal guardians who are at least 18 years old.
- Children may use the app only through a child profile created by their parent or guardian, and we recommend that a parent stays involved in their learning.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and your child's code private, and for all activity under your account.
3. Material you upload
- Upload only material that you are allowed to use for your child's personal education, such as pages of books you own and your child's class notes.
- You keep all rights in your material. You allow us to store and process it only to provide the Service to your family. We do not share your uploads with other families.
- Do not upload photos of people, identity documents or any unlawful, offensive or harmful content.
4. About AI answers
Explanations, lessons and voices are generated with artificial intelligence. They are designed to be accurate and age-appropriate, but they may sometimes be incomplete or wrong. The Service supports learning and does not replace teachers, schools or parental guidance. Please review important answers, and use the parent console to ask Buddy to answer again when needed.
5. Fair use
To keep sessions healthy and the Service reliable, we may apply daily limits on AI questions and other reasonable usage limits. You agree not to misuse the Service, including trying to access other families' data, disrupting our systems, copying the Service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Plans and payments
The Service is currently offered as early access. If you choose a paid plan, the price, billing period and what is included will be shown before you pay. Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
7. Suspension and closing an account
You can stop using the Service and delete your data at any time, as described on our Delete Your Account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or puts children, other users or the Service at risk.
8. Our intellectual property
The Samjhao Buddy name, logo, character, software and design belong to us. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without our written permission.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law.
